I bought them for SuperBowl Sunday and they were better for the kids than the adults. If I can find bigger ones I'll definitely buy them as I really loved the look and utility of them.Initial sturdiness is good, but durability after being exposed to moisture varies from plate to plate—even with the same contents. Probably best for semi-dry foods or for wetter foods that are meant to be eaten quickly.Liked these for a sturdy alternative to your normal paper plates.These were fabulous, natural, decomposable, sturdy and useful for the potluck I ordered them for. I was able to wash them (gently). I experimented with applying mineral oil to the surface, letting it dry for 2 days to see if it was needed. I didn't see any appreciable difference between the two. These are a natural leaf material that has been pressed into shape so I was surprised that they are as sturdy as they are. I expect to be able to use them several times. These will be part of my light weight, grab-n-go potluck bag with plate, cup, and utensils- all natural!These plates are really nice. We used it for a gravy item and it held the food good. The quality is very good. I would definitely recommend these. They are a little pricey specially for single use plates. The manufacturer and seller should try to get them a little cheaper.I bought this because I like the idea of re-processing natural materials that otherwise to go waste. I was not expecting much, but to my surprise, these are very well manufactured, very solid, handle frozen and hot items and they look great!
