An interesting private detective book written by one of the masters. Written in the 90's it's a very good read with just a little age showing, but if you like good old fashioned detective books you can't go wrong with a Spenser book.Spenser is hired by the husband of a murdered woman in a case the police haven't been able to solve. For some reason there is someone in power that doesn't want Spenser prying into the victims past, but that has never stopped Spenser. What does cause Spenser trouble is who exactly the murdered woman really was and what is going on with her family.A very good book that started a little slowly but turns into a real page turner.
