With Lenox you can't go wrong. These are good quality plates. They are stoneware, rather than the china that Lenox is really famous for, but still very nice. They are called salad plates--a little small for dinner plates and too large for dessert plates. I prefer my salad in a bowl. We'll use them as serving plates. I expected the pattern to be a little more abstract than it is. It really is a floral pattern, but it is sufficiently subdued that it does not distract. The color is also subdued; it's bluish-grey. I'm glad to have these plates.
