I got this because I'm making a laminate countertop and didn't want any glitches when I route the edge. Since I'm laminating an existing countertop with the sink cut out already, I was afraid I'd crack the sink edge especially. With this, I can keep the router stable on the edge of the counter. Today I practiced with it on a cabinet back, and wow! Makes it so easy with the little makita router. I've looked at these for years and should have gotten one long ago. It makes it really fun, especially easy to go around the corners.
